The pre-departure program is designed to prepare participants for the upcoming circumnavigation starting in the spring of 2026. This program will provide essential training, guidance, and hands-on experience to ensure participants are knowledgeable, confident, and prepared for offshore sailing.

Discussing individual sailing experience, expectations, and readiness.
Providing personalized recommendations for preparation and skill improvement.
Virtual sessions covering key topics such as:
Seamanship fundamentals.
Safety on board, emergency procedures, and best practices.
Route overview and expected sailing conditions.
Equipment and provisioning requirements.
Navigation basics and weather forecasting.
Q&A sessions to address participant concerns.
A three-day sailing experience focused on practical seamanship and safety training.
Key learning areas:
Basic sail handling and boat maneuvering.
Safety drills, including man-overboard recovery.
Use of safety gear (life rafts, EPIRBs, flares, etc.).
Emergency preparedness and risk management.
Opportunity for participants to experience sailing conditions firsthand and apply theoretical knowledge.
The size of each group is limited to 5 participants.
This seminar is designed for individuals who want to test the waters before making a commitment, get to know the captain and boat life, and gain hands-on experience in a real sailing environment.
The cost of the seminar is expense recovery-based and is expected to be 500 Euros* per person including all boat expenses, breakfast and light lunch. Dinner ashore (self-paid)
